Mattress Review Sapira

The Sapira mattress is Leesa’s answer to a hybrid bed. You get the popular comfort layers used in the original Leesa all foam mattress. But instead of a foam base a more solid and responsive coil system is used. This creates a five layer, 11″ mattress that combines the best of an all foam and coiled mattress. This design creates a supportive and very comfortable bed that is great for all sleepers.

The combination of the more springy Avena foam with the hugging memory foam creates ideal balance. The close attention to details also helps minimize motion transfer, create a solid usable edge and a very cool sleeping surface. All of this comes with a 100 night sleep trial, 10 year warranty and free shipping. This USA made hybrid bed will be a great addition to any bedroom and ideally comfortable.

Not only do you get the reputation that Leesa has set forth with its original all foam mattress. You also get a company that has set forth in making in effort to improve the community. Off Gassing

sapira mattress reviewThe very first thing to do with your new Sapira mattress is take it out of the box and get it set up. It should show up right at your door and in a fairly compact box, for a mattress anyway. Getting it to where it needs to go will take two sets of hands. It is about 115 lbs and a little awkward to maneuver if your on your own. Once you get it to where you’ll be sleeping it should only take a few minutes to get it out of the box and take it out of the plastic and come to life.

During the unboxing process you may notice a bit of off gassing but it should be very minimal. With most boxed mattresses there will be a little bit of smell during the unboxing process. But once it is allowed to unroll and take shape it should be fine. Especially since this one is made in the US, which helps tremendously with cutting down on any noxious odors. It is a good idea to wait a few hours before sleeping on your new Sapira by Leesa, so it can fully air out as well as expand properly.

When setting up your new mattress it will need a foundation that provides a flat, even surface that will support the weight of the mattress as well as the sleepers. It also will need to be the right height for you as well as be aesthetically appealing. The Sapira mattress would work great on a box spring with or without a frame, an adjustable base, a platform bed or slatted bed. To find a foundation that would work for you check out our frames & bases reviews.

The Comfort of the Sapira mattress combines two performance foams with different properties to compliment each other for the perfect feel and balance. This all foam mattress uses cooling responsive Avena foam as well as contouring and pressure relieving memory foam. These two foams work together to create an ideal, universal feel that appeals to a large range of sleepers and all sleeping positions.

This mattress also utilizes the support of a Quantum coil system. These premium springs not only give ideal an feel but also flexible support that adapts to your changing sleeping positions and movements. This creates a great sleeping surface for all sleeping positions as well as couples who share the mattress. The comfort layers work in harmony with the coils to provide proper ergonomic support and spinal alignment.

This soft yet supportive mattress is considered a medium-firm feeling bed and will fall around a 6 to 7 on a scale of 1-10 (1 being the softest and 10 the firmest.) The feel of the Sapira bed should be firm enough for stomach sleepers to have plenty of support without their back bowing. And still soft enough for side sleepers to easily allow their shoulders and hips to sink in. As well as ideal for back sleepers who need good lumbar support and just enough sink. Even a heavier person should find this mattress comfortable, however, it may feel more like a medium mattress if you are heavier.

Motion Transfer

This mattress is a hybrid mattress that uses pocketed coils for the core support system and is than covered with 3 layers of foam. This mattress may have a bit of vibrations when moving but should do a great job of isolating motion.

The coil system is pocketed meaning that each coils is individually wrapped in fabric. This alone will greatly reduce any motion transfer. However, it also has 1.5″ of Avena Foam and 1.5″ of memory foam as well as another 1″ of core support foam. These higher density foams will absorb the majority of vibrations and make for very minimal motion transfer to be felt. This mattress should be great for anyone who shares a bed because of this, there will be little disturbance when getting in and out of bed.

Sleeps Cool

The Sapira mattress has several properties that help it stay cooler. This mattress is a hybrid, so there is a core made of coils that will tremendously help with heat dissipation. Anytime you can have air flow within the mattress it allows for any heat retained a place to escape and keep the mattress cooler.

The Sapira also uses a top layer of Cooling Avena Foam. This foam is aerated to allow for plenty of air flow. It is also more responsive to allow for easy moving and not a feeling of being stuck. It also is placed on top of the memory foam which is usually a little warmer. This helps by eliminating direct contact between warmer memory foam and your body. The Sapira hybrid is also covered in a breathable and soft layer of fabric that won’t add to any heat build up too.

Edge Support

The edge support on the Sapira hybrid mattress should feel very stable and create a solid, edge to edge usable sleep surface. The pocketed coils and base foam provide the necessary support to give the entire mattress a solid foundation. The coils also go right up to the edge to ensure a solid perimeter around the whole bed. And the durable thick layers of foams create a consistent feel across the entire top that feels sturdy even on the edge. As far as sitting on the edge goes, there is a little less support, but more than the majority of online bed in a box mattresses and minimal use sitting on the edges should be fine.

The Sapira mattress comes in at $1475 for a queen size and that includes free delivery, a 100 night sleep trial and a 10 year warranty. The mattress alone we find to be a good deal for a solid, well made bed that has a quality foams and a durable coil system. What makes it even better is that you can save $250 currently. This offer is applied automatically when shopping at
