Aviya mattress is an affordable luxury innerspring mattress delivered to your door. This mattress uses quality materials to create a perfect balance of support and comfort. The core uses individually wrapped coils to make a durable foundation for ultimate support. Layered over the coils are high density foams to create specific levels of softness. The 12″ Aviya bed is available in three comfort options to ensure you are getting the best mattress for your sleeping needs.
Below we have our comprehensive and detailed Aviya mattress review. We will go through how it performs for off gassing, comfort, motion transfer, sleeping cool, edge support, value, material, trial and warranty.
Delivery & Off Gassing:
Since the Aviya mattress is not roll packed and it’s made in the USA. Because of this, you will not notice much, if any at all, off gassing. Included in the price of the mattress is delivered right to your front door. It will take two sets of hands to get this 100lb mattress to where it needs to go. Once you get it there it will only take a few minutes to unbox. Watch it come to life and be sleeping on it in no time. It may take a few hours to let it breathe. As well as allow the foams to fully expand.
If you want no work on your end, all you have to do is pay a small additional fee. Then you can have your new mattress delivered, set-up and your old mattress removed. Regardless of how it gets to your bedroom, you will want to let it breathe for a bit before putting your protector and bedding on. It won’t have much off gassing but it is better to let any fumes dissipate before sleeping on it.
When setting up your new mattress it will need a foundation that provides a flat, even surface that will support the weight of the mattress as well as the sleepers. It also will need to be the right height for you as well as be aesthetically appealing. The Aviya mattress would work great on a box spring with or without a frame, an adjustable base, a platform bed or slatted bed. Aviya Mattress Comfort:
Can’t go far in our Aviya mattress review without mentioning the importance of comfort. The Aviya mattress comes in three comfort levels, plush soft, luxury firm and firm. The luxury firm is the most popular and provides a great combination of support and cushion. On a firmness scale of 1-10 this option falls around a 5 to 6. With 1 being the softest and 10 being the firmest. This option would work great for back, stomach and side sleepers. It is also going to be best for people who like a supportive feel but with a little extra softness.
The plush option is going to be the softest option. This will work best for someone who likes a soft mattress that conforms to them more. As well as someone who more than likely sleeps on their side. This option will be around a 2 to 2.5 on the firmness scale.
The firm option is going to appeal to people who like to ride on top of the mattress. And will more than likely sleep on their stomachs and sometimes back. This option will fall around a 8 to 8.5 on the firmness scale. I will also work great for the heavier person who needs more support too.
The Aviya mattress is 12″ thick and has a very solid core as well as ample layers of comfort. Regardless of which feel you choose, you will have a durable, supportive foundation. Having these three options really allows for you to choose what will work best for you and be most comfortable.
This mattress should have very little motion transfer. Naturally a coil mattress may have more of a spring to it. However, the coils in this bed are individually wrapped. This alone greatly reduce and soften any movement felt. Also, the Aviya’s top layers of foam dramatically cut down and absorb any vibrations.
The motion transfer of this mattress is very minimal and general movements and shifting should be hardly noticeable, especially if you are sharing a mattress. If you are a light sleeper or share your bed with someone who has a different sleep schedule this mattress would be a great choice if motion transfer is any concern.
Like any hybrid or innerspring mattress retaining heat is much less of a concern on this type of bed than an all foam mattress. The coil system alone helps rid and dissipate any heat build-up. The natural air flow will not trap heat like a foam bed that has no place for the warmth to go. This mattress also utilizes a quilted cover that has 1″ of breathable comfort foam.
Beyond that, this mattress doesn’t offer any gel-infused foams or natural latex to help reduce heat. So there will still be three layers of comfort poly foams that may hold a bit more heat toward the top. Unless you sleep very warm, this mattress should be just fine for maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout the night.
Aviya Mattress – Edge Support:
The Aviya mattress incorporates a 3″ thick foam edging that encases the perimeter of the mattress. This encasement creates a very durable and usable sleep surface from edge to edge. Sleeping close to the edge you shouldn’t notice any difference in how the mattress feels from the middle.
Also having this extra stability around the edge gives the mattress added support if you sit on the edge of your mattress. Ideally you don’t want to treat the edge of you mattress like a chair. Since this isn’t its intent. However, this mattress will hold up very well from typical daily use. In turn this will just increase the quality and longevity of your bed even more.
Aviya Mattress – Value:
We are particularly impressed with this part of our mattress review due to the quality of this mattress. The Aviya mattress comes in at only $1099 for a queen size. This price also includes free delivery, a 100 night sleep trial, and a 10 year warranty. There are also additional upgrades that can be selected for shipping and delivery services. As well as foundations that can be included as well. The mattress alone we find to be a good deal for a solid, thick bed that has a durable core and comfort options to choose from. What makes it even better is that you can save just by clicking below.
Materials & Construction:
The Aviya mattress is a 12″ mattress with four total layers. They includes three layers of poly foam over a zoned individually wrapped coil system. There are 800 coils of 15 gauge steel in a queen size. The amount of foams will vary in thickness and density depending on what firmness choice you choose. Regardless, the cover will be the same 1″ thick quilted cover with breathable foam.
Trial Period & Warranty:
This mattress has a 100 night sleep trial period. This is the online mattress industry average and what is typically offered. This trial period allows for a sufficient amount of time to see if this mattress is a good fit for you and also has a very easy return process if it isn’t. The Aviya offers a 10 year warranty. This warranty is fairly standard and provides consumers with the confidence that this is a product that the company will stand behind.
