Materials & Design:

The design of this pillow is truly focused in on the Zoned Memory Foam. This foam features the different size channels that go through the pillow from top to bottom. As you can see in the pictures, these holes in the center of the pillow are larger, and the get smaller around the perimeter of the pillow. These holes are the what give this pillow different pressure relieving zones.

The center of the pillow has a softer feel to allow the back of your head to comfortable sink into the pillow. While the perimeter is slightly more firm in order to provide proper support for the neck and shoulders. The zoning adds another comfort benefit by allowing for plenty of easy airflow throughout the pillow. This helps it to remain a comfortable temperature as you sleep.

The cover of the Malouf Zoned Memory Foam Pillow is made out of a silky smooth Tencel fabric. This is great for a pillow cover as it tends to stay rather cool and breathable. Is The Malouf Zoned Memory Foam Pillow Comfortable?

The Zoned Dough Memory Foam pillow from Malouf is a very comfortable pillow. It is designed specifically to give you the support where you need it most, as well as soft pillowy comfort in the center where you want it. One feature that tends to really affect the comfort of a pillow depending on how you sleep is the loft size of the pillow.

Malouf designed this pillow to come in three convenient loft sizes so that there was a version of this pillow that would work for just about everyone.

If you are particularly petite or you prefer to sleep on your stomach, then you are going to love the low loft pillow option. This comes in at a 4.5 inches high, which is higher than most pillows that are designed for stomach sleepers. However it is the lowest option they provide. This side also works well for back sleepers who does want their pillow to be too lofty.

Next up is their mid loft height option which comes in at 6 inches high. This is actually rather lofty when compared to other pillows. Keep in mind that they rate this pillow a 4 out of 10 on the firmness scale making it a bit soft. This will allow for a slight adjustment in loft height as you lay on it. Finally there is their highest loft option which comes in at 7″ high. Care Instructions:

In order to keep your pillow as comfortable as possible it is important that you take great care of your pillow by following proper care instructions. The internal foam section of the pillow is not machine washable. However, the outer cover is! To wash the cover of your memory foam pillow simply unzip, remove foam, and throw into the washing machine with like colors.

Malouf recommends only using a gentle detergent and washing on a cool cycle. They also suggest avoiding any chlorine or bleach products. To dry simply tumble dry on low, or you can hang dry. If the internal foam pillow gets a stain on it, the recommend spot cleaning as needed. Just be sure to avoid getting moisture into the foam and fully air drying before you continue use.
