Materials & Design:
The core material of the I Love Pillow Out Cold Pillow is made out of a memory foam. This is a specialty memory foam made by I Love Pillow. It has a lightweight feel and has a quick response feel. By this we mean that the foam adapts and shifts to your movements much faster then most memory foam which typically takes a while to mold into a new shape. It is also more breathable memory foam than most which also helps with preventing heat retention. Yet another aspect of this pillow that will help to keep you sleeping cool throughout the night.
Arguably the coolest feature of the Out Cold pillow is the Dual Climate Cover. The cover is dual sided, on one side is their Out Cold cooling cover material, and on the other than have their traditional microfiber fabric that is great when you want to stay warm. This allows your pillow to work for you through all seasons.
The comfort designs don’t stop there however. This pillow comes in three different loft heights, and well as three different comfort shapes. When it comes to the loft heights you can choose between a low, mid, or high loft option. While the shape of the pillow, you can pick between the traditional, contoured, or side sleeper shape. If you choose a shape other than the traditional you will not be able to adjust the loft height. Overall we are impressed by the amount of options you get to choose from. This helps you as a sleeper to get the exact shape pillow that works for you and how you like to sleep.

Is The Out Cold Pillow Comfortable?
The Out Cold Pillow is all about comfort. The first focus with this pillow is creating a comfortable sleeping temperature as you sleep. The Out Cold dual climate cover allows you to flip your pillow to either give you a cooling comfort feel, or a side that will allow you to sleep a bit more warm. This keeps the pillow comfortable throughout the year from winter to summer without needing to switch out pillows.
Another feature that makes the I Love Pillow Out Cold Pillow so comfortable is that they have so many different comfort options for you to choose from. When it comes to loft height we would recommend the low loft for all of the stomach sleepers out there as it helps prevent neck strain. While the mid height is great for more back or combination sleepers. If you primarily sleep on your side, then the high loft will be the best loft height for you as it provides the most support.
However, if you do sleep on your side the most then you may also be interested in the Out Cold pillow in the side sleeper shape. This pillow shape has a good amount of loft while also creating the ideal u shape pillow. This shape give a good space for your shoulders to rest as the pillow wraps around and supports your head and neck. While back sleepers will love the contour shaped pillow, this will give your neck a good amount of support as you sleep on your back. All while allowing your head to gentle rest back into the pillow without any significant pressure.
Care Instructions:
We love to check out the care instructions for pillows that we review. It can really give you a behind the scenes look on what it is like to really use the pillow. Thankfully the I Love Pillows are rather simple to keep clean. They created the outer cover with a convenient zipper for easy on and off. Simply remove the internal foam portion of the pillow and put the cover in the wash with like colors.
Be sure to wash on a cool gentle cycle and avoid any harsh detergent or bleach. To dry the recommend air drying for best results. Overall this should be enough to keep your pillow fresh and clean. You can always spot clean the internal foam portion as needed. Just try to avoid getting extra moisture into the foam portion of the pillow.

The Out Cold Pillow is an American made designers pillow that has specialty foam and cooling materials. All of these things could easily have jacked up the price to way over $100. However, the I Love Pillow brand does a great job at creating quality pillows at a reasonable price point. For the quality of the product we would say that these prices are rather reasonable.

Whether you prefer to sleep on your side, back, or stomach there is a pillow that will suite your needs and work comfortably for you. The dual temperature cover allows this pillow to work to keep you a comfortable temperature throughout the night. If you are feeling a bit chilly, flip to the cozy mink side of the pillow. The shredded layer also helps keep the pillow cooler by allowing air to flow between. All of this is surrounded by the Muse’s signature cold wire technology cover. This cover is made of a material that absorbs the rooms ambient temperature as well as wicks away moisture. Between the cover and the shredded memory foam this pillow stays unbelievably cool all night long.
