Materials & Design:

The Oceano pillow from Brentwood Home has a simple yet effective design. It really dials in on using high quality materials in order to create a comfortable pillow. This pillow consists of two main sections, the cover and the fill.

The cover of the Oceano Pillow is made out of a stretch-knit Tencel fabric. This is a soft breathable material that is made out of tree pulp. The cover has an internal liner that is made out of 100% polyester. This liner helps to keep the internal section of the pillow all together and stay inside the pillow.

Next is the fill of the pillow. Brentwood Home filled the Oceano Pillow with rather similar materials to the Oceano Mattress. It is filled with a combination of Gel Memory Foam polyester fill. The gel memory foam is made with BioFoam®, a plant-based foam. Brentwood Home ensures the safety of their foams by getting them certified. This pillow is certified by CertiPUR-US® and Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

Is The Brentwood Home Oceano Pillow Comfortable?

The memory foam in this pillow is cut into small ribbons, this combined with the polyester fill makes for a lightweight plush pillow with loads of airflow. The pillow has a traditional fluffy feeling, with the adds benefits of loads of bounce back. The memory foam keeps the pillow from ever falling flat, while still being moldable.

The loft of the Oceano Pillow is a good average height, making it ideal for back and combination sleepers. It is also completely adjustable which means you can adjust the height of your pillow to be your ideal loft size for any sleeping position. To do this, simply unzip the cover of the pillow and either add or remove the fill to your liking.

Another feature that keeps this pillow so comfortable is the materials they use in order keep the pillow cool. The first is the gel infused open cell memory foam. The airy foam mixed with a cooling gel, that is then cut into small pieces all helps to allow for plenty of cooling airflow throughout the pillow.

Care Instructions:

If you are going to want the freedom of throwing your pillow in the washing machine and dryer, then this is not the pillow for you. Brentwood Home does not recommend machine washing their pillows, or using bleaching products on their covers either.

If you do need to get your pillow clean due to a spot or stain, they recommend spot treating the cover as needed with minimal water. To spot clean, simply dampen a clean white washcloth. Then lightly dab at the spot, ensuring you do not press too much water into the pillow. To dry, allow to airdry in a sunny breezy spot.
